More June Fun!

Hallie and I got to spend some time down in central Illinois. We visited the Children's Museum (Hallie loved driving the truck and combine, cutting the corn) and Hallie and cousin Tess enjoyed swimming in the pool. It was good to see the family. Natalie and Stephanie also got to go to a Cubs game in Chicago, which was fun. GO CUBS!

Friends Reunion

A bunch of friends from Morton High School got together a few weeks back for our 2nd annual summer reunion. It was so great to see everyone and the kids (1o of them, 2 more on the way) had a great time playing and swimming. We had a hot day to contend with, but it didn't spoil the fun!

Festival

Hello! Last weekend, Hallie and I enjoyed the Festival of the Arts in GR. It's an annual event with tons of entertainment, food booths, arts and crafts, etc. We got in a few hours before the much needed rain arrived. Hallie got her face painted with a ladybug. She sat very still and still talks about it. Fortunately we got some pics. The week is moving slow and I can't wait til the weekend!

Where does the time go?

It's been awhile since I've written. These pics are from a few weekends back when we checked out a huge kite festival in Grand Haven, which is on Lake Michigan. It was very cool. Hallie enjoyed the kites and sand. They had professionals out there who made their kites move to music and do all sorts of fun things. It was also for anybody to come out and fly their kites. The wind was certainly there too.

Memorial Day weekend was good. Dan's family came up for a quick visit. The weather this week has been rather hot, but a cool down and some rain (which we desparately need) is hopefully on the way!

Work has been busy, but the summer does have a different pace to it, which is nice. I'm looking forward to the trip back to IL in a few weeks.
