Dan's sister Meghan came up to visit for a week. It was nice to have company. I had to work, but managed to have some fun. Hallie has enjoyed the nice weather and loves to dig outside in the dirt. We went to the Frederick Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, where Rodin's "The Thinker" is on display, so that was cool. We walked through there, Hallie played in the sand and H2O, and saw the flowers. It was nice. They also got to visit the zoo with some friends, which Hallie enjoyed. The one pic is of a sting ray exhibit, where you can touch them in the water. The other bird house you can hold a stick and the birds come land on it. The warmer/humid weather is supposed to return later this week and we desperately need some rain, pretty drought-like up here.

Summer Fun
Wow, it's July! I've enjoyed the last week or so not working, I took some vacation days. It was good to be somewhat productive around the house and get to spend some time with Hallie. We went to the park - she loves swinging and playing in the sand. I love that picture of her on the slide, her hair all full of static. She aslo went swimming in her pool this weekend - it was H-O-T!!! Hopefully some rain will come our way, we really need it. We ended up just watching fireworks on TV, however they often have them at the ballpark down the road, so we've seen a few shows just watching out the window. One of the TV stations also does several "Park Parties" throughout the summer, so we checked that out the other day since it was just up the road. A lot of local agencies sponsor stuff and there was entertainment for the kids, some rides and inflatables, along with a lot of crafts and giveaways (books, coloring books, cute little Home Depot aprons, Coldstone Creamery ice cream - yummy!) Hallie enjoyed it, but she was ready for a nice nap when we got home.
