I got to go with Hallie to preschool before Thanksgiving for her Day of Celebration, it was fun. Thanksgiving was nice - got the opportunity to spend time visiting with family. About a week after we had our first snowfall, there's a picture of that...probably about 10 inches. Then last week we were dumped on again and had a blizzard warning in effect from Wed afternoon through Fri morning. In total we've gotten about 25 inches in just over a week. I'm hoping that trend slows down. We visited Santa at the Pancake Breakfast...it cracked me up b/c I think he was the replacement Santa...maybe in jr. high. The picture turned out cute....of course I had to accompany Paige in the photo. Oh well. We decorated a gingerbread house, which the girls really enjoyed. I'm looking forward to Christmas.

Thanksgiving is Right Around the Corner
Hello! Clearly I'm slacking on the picture uploading. Here's some pics from Halloween. We went with a sea creature theme - Hallie was a jellyfish and Paige was an octopus. The girls went Trick-or-Treating at Davenport during the week, braved the rain at Grand Valley Friday night, and then we just stayed in on Saturday. It was rather chilly, so we finally carved our pumpkins and the girls were excited to pass out the candy. We had a whopping 4 kids come to the door, so it was a quiet evening. Things are going well here. We're going to redo the basement, work started late last week, so that is exciting. I can't wait for that to be more of a functional space, particularly for all the toys! Tomorrow I get to spend the afternoon at preschool with Hallie for her Day of Celebration. Work Tuesday and then start my Thanksgiving holiday. Excited to visit with family. Happy Thanksgiving from my little princesses!

Fall Fun & Paige's 2nd Birthday
I apologize for the delay in posting. If you click "Older Posts" you
can view some pics from our September trip down to Illinois for
the Pumpkin Festival, 15 Year Class Reunion, and trip to Quincy
We were able to go to a cool orchard and pumpkin patch where we got
to build our own scarecrow. We participated with Homecoming at
Davenport. My little Paige celebrated her 2nd birthday on several
occasions. Dan's parents came up to Michigan as planned, so we were
able to see them. We connected with my siblings in Morton on the way
back home and my parents were able to come up this past weekend.
The weather was mild and beautiful. We went to the "Zoo Goes Boo"
event and the kids had a good time. Hallie got lots of compliments
on her costume. I'm excited that it turned out so well. She's a jellyfish
if you need a hint :o)
We traveled down to Quincy for my Grandma's funeral. She was buried
on Paige's actual birthday. Great celebration of her life. Her entire
family - 8 children and their spouses, 29 grandchildren and their
spouses, and 10 great-grandchildren + 2 own the way - bid her
farewell (all together 72!!!). There are great memories and she will be
missed!
Trip to Illinois
Hello! Haven't updated this in awhile. Here's a slideshow I created way back
when and never posted to my blog. It's been a busy few weeks. These were
from a trip back to Morton in September for the Pumpkin Fest, my 15 year
class reunion, and a visit down to Quincy to see Great Grandma Terwelp.

September Fun
September has zipped by. The weather has been absolutely amazing, pretty much 70's all month with some good sunshine. We hit the apple orchard over Labor Day, so those visits will continue. There were baby goats that were just 5 days old! Hallie had her pre-school orientation on Monday and started her first official day today. She absolutely loved it and is excited to go back. Paige thought she'd like to stay as well. She'll go on M/W/F afternoons. The girls and I are heading down to Morton on Friday for the Pumpkin Festival and my high school reunion. Should be lots of fun.

Happy 4th Birthday Hallie!
We got some warmer weather in August, so the girls got to enjoy some pool time outside. They love the water. We celebrated Hallie's 4th b-day last weekend with family and it was a good time. They stayed at the hotel, so we got to go swimming at the pool too. Hallie wanted jellyfish on her cake...and a volcano, so I opted for using gummies that I found online and we've got an ocean/beach/volcano combo. Thanks Grandma for assistance with the frosting. Hallie helped me make the clams and the kids had jellyfish dogs as well. It was a fun theme.
The new job is going well. Students returned yesterday and Mother Nature decided to rain on us for move-in, but eventually we dried out. Orientation is going well and classes start Monday. Hard to believe it's almost September.

July Fun
Hello! Feels like July has just passed us by. I did get a few pics along the way. Went bowling with some folks from work and the girls enjoyed themselves. It was their first bowling experience. Dan's family also came up for a visit one weekend. We went up to a Town & Country Days thing just up the road. Watched the parade, rode some rides, petted the animals, and went through a demonstration for the kids about fire safety. The other day we had a great rainbow in the front yard. The one pic is of Hallie being goofy, it cracks me up. I got the girls pictures taken last weekend and they turned out well. On Monday I started a new position at Davenport University and it's been going well thus far. Hard to believe that in a few short weeks, the chaos will begin!
