June Fun

We had a busy last few weeks in June. I had a day conference down in Chicago, so the girls and I went down and met up w/ Aunt Stephie who was in town for a Cubs game and Uncle Jeremy and Maureen. We all went to the Lincoln Park Zoo together and had a great time. Aunt Stephie took the girls exploring at the Field Museum and we grabbed dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. We had to stop at the Shedd Aquarium before leaving town, as Hallie is obsessed with jellyfish and clams! It was a fun, quick trip.

Last weekend we traveled across Michigan for a wedding in Saginaw. The girls love wedding receptions and had a blast. We also visited a local zoo, stopped at Bronner's - the Christmas store in Frankenmuth, and hit a couple stores at the outlet mall before heading home. I took today off as well and worked on the basement. We've been ripping out the floor/walls/ceiling and will be turning that into more of a place for the girls the play and hangout, along with the laundry and some storage.

Also trying to get over a crazy bug that's managed to catch up with all of us, so hopefully we're back to full health soon. Take care and enjoy the pics! The last 2 pictures were from after dinner this evening...I hopped on the computer and it was rather quiet, after checking on the girls, they'd both zonked out on the couch.

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend was a much needed weekend away. The girls and I

headed back to central Illinois to visit with the family. My sisters and

brother also made the trip. I climbed up into the attic and got down some

of our toys from when we were younger - old school Little People and Play-

mobile. My parents just redid the basement and created a toy room, which

the girls love. You'll enjoy some comical pictures from that event on the

deck. Since it was nice we gave each of the girls a tub of soapy water to

clean the toys. Paige decided to take a dip and her diaper became heavier

and heavier until she decided to ditch it. We went to the park, caught a

Chiefs game with fireworks, visited Wildlife Prairie Park, and just hung out

and enjoyed the beautiful weather. After we came back, we went to the

zoo, then it was back to work. Hard to believe May is already over!
