April !!!

Heavens, it's already mid April! Where does the time go? We celebrated Paige's 1/2 birthday over the weekend. Still waiting for the Spring temps to stick around. A week ago it was beautiful, so we enjoyed some time outside. It will be so nice to not be cooped up so much. Those pretty purple flowers have come and gone, we've got a bunch more bringing some color to the flowerbeds, which is at least a sign of spring. The snow in last weekends forecast can stop.
I'm trying to grow Hallie's bangs out so they can go behind the ear and they are currently in an awkward state. They look really cute in a barrette, but that is usually short lived until she figures out it's in her hair. Some are just her being a monkey.

Our kitchen faucet broke and the lovely homeowners before us decided to solder it to the sink, so we're now undergoing a kitchen remodel...because you know we (more like Dan) can't stop with just a new sink and faucet. So we're putting new laminate on the counter tops, replacing the backsplash with brick, painting and getting new stainless steel appliances. Always something!

Enjoy this pics and hopefully the video clip will work. It's of Paige laughing at Hallie and then Hallie does "ride the bike..." with Paige, which is what I'd always do when she needed some help getting the gas out. It's pretty cute.

Happy Spring!

We welcomed Spring here in Michigan with a good 7 inches of snow on Friday. At least we had some sunshine for Easter. Things here are going well. We dyed eggs last week, which Hallie really enjoyed. She also dyed her hands in the process. Hallie also managed to take a tumble down the basement stairs while I was at work, so that's where she got that nice cut/bruise on her face. Fortunately, it wasn't too bad. Paige has been doing a cute/funny thing where she sticks out her tongue when she wants to eat and just keeps it out until someone notices. I've been trying to catch it on camera, b/c it's pretty silly. Easter was good. Hallie got a limited amount of candy in her baskets, but I still had to put it up on the counter b/c she of course just wanted to keep eating it. Mmmm...what a breakfast, jelly beans and chocolate. It was cute, she'd find an egg, shake it, and then take it over to Paige, who was just hanging out watching Hallie fun around and look for eggs. Paige has really just discovered her feet lately, so that's been entertaining. Hope everyone is doing well!
